Travis Kelce needed a getaway car after this fiasco.
A Kansas City Chiefs player mistook Hugh Grant’s wife, Anna Eberstein, for famed director Greta Gerwig at one of Taylor Swift’s Elas tour performances, the pop star revealed on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” Wednesday night.
The Grammy winner, 35, hilariously told viewers about the moment Kelsey, also 35, met Grant’s partner in the VIP tent.
After congratulating Eberstein, 42, on Gerwig’s Barbie movie, the tight end ruefully referenced one of Ryan Gosling’s lines in the 2023 film.
Kelce pointed at Swift and quipped, “I’m just Ken, too.”
Gerwig, the “Endgame” singer, pointed out that Kelce didn’t realize her mistake until after the show, but Gerwig was also in the VIP tent the same night and was photographed with NFL players. At the time, Kelce thought Gerwig was just another random family member dancing around and having fun.
Representatives for Mr. Grant have not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comment.
The actor joined Swift’s London tour in June 2024 and spoke to NME about having a tequila shot with Kelsea four months later.
“We were completely devastated,” the 65-year-old “Notting Hill” star recalled in an October 2024 interview.

Swift responded, “As Hugh Grant has been for many years, this tweet is very important to my culture.”
Swift has been talking about her new album, Life of a Showgirl, on talk shows and all over the radio.
On Monday night, the songstress appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in a dazzling minidress to talk about the album and her engagement to Kelsey in August.
During the interview, she revealed that the NFL star was “nervous” before he proposed.
The hitmaker, who is still in the Big Apple for a whirlwind press tour, was spotted stepping out for dinner at New York’s upscale steakhouse The Eighty-Six on Tuesday night wearing a stylish Miu Miu pleated miniskirt and stiletto boots.
