Travis Kelce needs a getaway car.
The Kansas City Chiefs player joked that Taylor Swift was “going to kill” him after breaking a chair during Wednesday’s episode of her podcast.
The 36-year-old athlete was laughing at a joke by one of his older brothers, “New Heights” co-host Jason Kelce, when the furniture he was sitting on made a snapping sound.
“Oh, yeah!” cried Jason, 38, as Travis threw out his arm to catch him. “Are you okay, Trav?”
The three-time Super Bowl champion admitted, “We’re fine. Fk. Taylor’s gonna kill me!”
Social media users praised the “endlessly funny” clip.
“That chair was probably a real set piece from ‘Citizen Kane’ or the chair Ernest Hemingway sat in when he wrote ‘The Sun Also Rises’ and Travis just smashed it into a pile of twigs,” one Swiftie tweeted.
Another speculated: “There’s no way Taylor couldn’t have heard her butt hit the ground from the other room.”
Many noted that Swift’s home was in a “terrible state” recently, noting that last year Zoe Kravitz destroyed the pop star’s bathroom, including a “vintage antique cupboard,” in an attempt to find her lost pet snake.
“[My mom, Lisa Bonet and I]were tearing up tiles,” the 37-year-old actress recalled on Late Night with Seth Meyers in August 2025. “We were (scratching) the wall.”
Swift acknowledged the “chic” debacle on her talk show the following month, joking that it was a “YSL ad, not a problem.”
On Wednesday, X users resurfaced a December 2024 clip of “The Toast” co-hosts Jackie Oshry and Claudia Oshry discussing “bigger furniture” needed to accommodate a “big (future) husband” in Swift’s Rhode Island home.
Claudia, 31, said, “(All the furniture there) is definitely antique, and Travis probably broke the chairs. … She can’t (have) these classy antique tables. She needs restoration hardware…[and]she needs Raymore & Flannigan. Good American-made.”
Taylor, 36, and Travis began dating in the summer of 2023 and got engaged two years later.
The two are planning to get married in June this year.
