Kayla Nicole defends the “Bulls-T” rights after facing continued backlash to publicly discuss her romantic past with Ex Travis Kelce.
The 33-year-old sports journalist has returned to criticism once again with a recent episode of her “The Pre-Game” podcast.
“For me, I don’t think people have that power, so I’m not afraid that they’ll necessarily be cancelled,” Nicole explained to special guest Heather Sanders in an episode that dropped last Friday.
Nicole said she believes God has a plan for her, and that hatred, despite her thoughts, “cannot change” the trajectory of her life.
“But I’m sensitive. I’m being triggered,” she admitted. “I want to clear my name. I want to deal with it.”
Without mentioning the particular controversy she was involved in, Nicole said “never” in the hope that she would “never be blown away” and “drove the chicken out.”
Nicole then said that when she deals with things, she thinks people are doing it for attention rather than discussing their experiences.
“That’s my fear too. When I work on things, rather than talking about the experiences I lived, people think it’s just that I’m trying to rehash the bull all the time,” she said. “The reality is that I’m just someone who wants to talk about my life.”
She added, “Su Mee, Sweety. Yes.”
Nicole has defended himself in the past by openly speaking about his previous relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Nicole touched on the past of the 35-year-old soccer player in several interviews after he began dating Taylor Swift in the summer of 2023.
Last year, she even closed rumours that she had broken up Kelse’s “cheap” trends, and admitted the “non-subsidiary angel” podcast that she would never date anyone who would split “50/50.”
Shortly afterwards, Nicole shed tears after being dragged into Swift for spilling tea in his relationship with Kelse.
“After the podcast was announced, I thought I had grace and handled things,” the model said in the I Am Athlete Daily series at the time. “I thought I answered the questions to get the most out of my abilities. The public had an interpretation of things.
She shared that her mom was “offended and “harmed” by “perceiving her daughter.”
“My mother calls me – that’s those conversations… that’s what matters to me,” Nicole said.
“She’s hurting with negative headlines and the way people spin it,” Nicole added, saying her mother advised her not to answer questions about her future ex.
However, that didn’t stop the model from sharing a fiery response just days after Kelce and Swift, 35, announced their engagement on August 26th.
Nicole shared a video of her glutes training with a mysterious message she read, “Goal? Back saying I stopped playing with me.”
