Travis Kelse is expanding his fashion empire.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, is working with American Eagle for a limited edition product collaboration through his sportswear and lifestyle brand Tru Kolors. “After over a year making, AE X Tru Kolors by Travis Kelce combines fashion, sports and culture,” the brand shares with people.
“I had to continue to be excited about this collaboration for nearly a year. It was a great opportunity to work with an established brand that is truly excited to work together on any decisions about the design and creative process that made the ‘AE X TK’ collection,” Kelse said in a press release.
He continues, “I started Tru Kolors in 2019 on a foundation that shows off the real thing and enjoys style. We wanted this collaboration to reflect that same energy. I want everyone to feel like there’s something in the collection and that they can make their own.
The collaboration news comes a day after Kelse announced her engagement to Taylor Swift in an internet-breaking joint Instagram post. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are married,” the couple wrote in the caption.

To embody the campaign’s “live-to-play” idea, Kelse has slapped friends and fellow athletes, including tennis star Anna Frey, elite basketball guard Adgehood, quarterback Drew Allah, Jeremiah Miss, top basketball outlook Kiyan Anthony, gold medalist, gold medalist and World Fluds Geinast Smith.
“Teaming together with Travis Kelce and American Eagle was a great experience!” Anthony shares in a press release. “I’ve been a fan of the AE brand for years, and despite all the different sports we play, I’m always admired how Travis is true to himself, both on and off the field.
“When Travis reached out to me about the campaign, I was very hyped. It was an honor to work with such an incredible group of athletes. I love fashion and really want to build on the space.

The collection will be released in two drops on August 27th and September 24th, with over 90 pieces priced between $14.95 and $179.95. The piece includes heavyweight, vintage-inspired tees, cricket sweaters, rugby polos and utility cargo, a reimagined varsity jacket, soft cinnie rake pieces and cashmere sets, and bespoke graphics that reflect the world of AE X Tru Kolors by Travis Kelse.
Jennifer Foyle, president and executive creative director of American Eagle Outfitters, says American Eagle and Kelce are “destined to work together.”
“It’s an iconic brand that teams up with one of our generation’s great athletes, and that’s what I call victory,” says Foyle. “AE and Tru Kolors are rooted in optimism, self-expression and confidence. And we share our passion for empowering everyone to feel like their true energy when wearing our products. Travis’s commitment to infectious energy and every aspect of collaboration has inspired us to bring a refreshing spirit to our team and showcase this collection through his different style.”

Kelse’s new collection and campaign comes a month after American Eagle Ambassador Sidney Sweeney spoke a lot about advertising for retailers. The brand supports the message behind the campaign spot and is working on social media discourse in the following statement:
Kelse has cemented its position as an NFL resident fashion hype known for turning game day tunnel walk outfits into runway moments. He loves labels, prints and bold colors, and does not avoid the risks of fashion. His latest collaboration with American Eagle allows him to bring that bold, personal style touch to the masses.
Now we can’t wait for his fiancé, Taylor Swift, to record the brand in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium this season.
