That’s not his “end game.”
Travis Kelce confirmed Monday that he will return to the Kansas City Chiefs for a 14th season despite rumors of his retirement.
After the athlete’s planning report made headlines on The Athletic and ESPN, the Instagram account for his and Jason Kelsey’s podcast “New Heights” set the record straight.
“He’s back!!” the caption confirmed. “Travis Kelce returns to the Chiefs for his 14th year.”
The video, uploaded to social media, featured a compilation video of the tight end quoting a line from “John Wick” and declaring, “People keep asking me if I’m back, and I never really had an answer. But now I think, yeah, I’m back.”
The NFL posted its own confirmation on Monday, writing, “He’s not done yet.”
Travis suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on January 4, ending his 13th season with the Missouri-based team.
After the match, he hinted at the possibility of retirement in an interview with local reporter Sam McDowell.
Asked if he plans to take time off before deciding to retire, he said: “Nobody knows. It’s either something that comes to mind right away or it takes a while.”
The 36-year-old also spoke about his love for the team.
“I’m proud of the way it ended, even though it ended the way it did. The players still showed up and gave it their all, and that’s all you can ask for.”
“I have so much love for this team, this organization and the people here, so I’m going to spend time with them, go to the exit meeting tomorrow, be close to my family and work things out.”
Kelce has played his entire career with the Chiefs since joining them in 2013.
This football player has had quite the career, winning three Super Bowl rings in 2020, 2023, and 2024.
After winning his second championship, Kelce began dating Taylor Swift, who became an integral part of several of the Chiefs’ games at Arrowhead Stadium.
She was often spotted in Kelce’s private suite at Arrowhead Stadium with fellow Chiefs WAG Brittany Mahomes, wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
In August 2025, Kelce proposed to the pop star after two years of dating. The couple is said to be planning to wed in Rhode Island this summer.
The two have openly discussed starting a family together.
Outside of football, the athlete hosts “New Heights” with Jason, who retired from a 13-year NFL career in 2024.
Kelce has also dabbled in a few acting jobs, including appearances in “Happy Gilmore 2” and Ryan Murphy’s “Grotescree.”
