After Travis and Jason Kelce had a falling out with Taylor Swift, their “Friends” break galvanized their performance on “Sister Pants, Sister Pants.”
On the first episode of The Brothers’ “New Heights Film Club,” they reviewed the 2005 film and praised Swift’s madness in her role as Bridget Vreeland.
“It’s also our friend Blake Lively’s film debut. She killed it. Absolutely amazing as Bridget,” Jason, 37, began.
“I killed it,” Travis, 36, agreed. “I may be a little biased, but I found Bridget’s story to be the most relatable and probably the most enjoyable.”
In addition to the fact that he knows the actress, 38, Travis said Lively’s character is the one he “identified with the most” because she plays an athlete in the movie.
“Bridget, she attacked me.
He and Travis then had fun with the “Gossip Girl” alum due to her poor running form seen throughout the movie.
“I didn’t have the best run and I had to admit. Blake, I love you, that doesn’t strike me as a star athlete’s run,” the father of four said.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end defended the liveliness by bringing up how “impressive” it is for her to run and say her line at the same time.
“But she has good patience because she runs and talks like that,” he added. “I’m f. If I was gassed and running and talking, it’s much worse by trying to spit out my line.”
The full episode was posted on Monday, but fans soon realized that the episode was actually filmed in October 2024.
Many of them speculated that Swift’s choice to post it so soon after the release of “The Life of a Showgirl” was a deliberate move with a deeper meaning to where the now lively 35-year-old Swift currently stands.
“Originally posted in October 2024, very specific timing to repost it now,” one fan wrote to X.
“I have a feeling she’s taking paparazzi photos of Blake and Taylor this week because she’s in New York promoting Showgirls.
The Swifties have already theorized its track No. 10, “Cancelled!” Made in Live’s Defense despite reports that the pop star and producer had fallen out earlier this year.
The Besties’ friendship ended after Swift was dragged into Lively’s legal battle with her “It Ending” co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
Swift was subpoenaed by his legal team after Baldoni claimed in a countersuit that Lively used her friendship with the songwriter to try to get her way in the film. Shortly thereafter, the investigation was dropped, but it still ruined the pair’s friendship.
In a very interesting move, Travis did so on Instagram in April with Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, in direct response to the “Shallows” star’s legal drama, we learned exclusively.
A source said in June, “She’ll be forever furious that Blake was so clearly using her for influence and leverage in his dealings with Justin. She hates that Blake even thinks that way.”
The explosive story seemed irreversible, but the “Oparite” songstress shocked fans with “Cancelled!” It contains lyrics about accepting friends despite backlash from the public.
The Grammy winner lamented, “Good thing my friends like it canceled/I liked them in cloaked Gucci and Scandal,” and eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that Vibrant was named the face of the fragrance Gucci Premiere in 2012.
