“South Park” continues to skewer Donald Trump as the season 27 rollout unleashes a new teaser for the upcoming episode of Wednesday. In this episode, the president’s tariff-heavy trade policy causes a fuss at South Park Elementary School as prices for Lovebu dolls skyrocket.
According to the episode’s description, “Butter experiences the reality of tariffs when she has to buy a Lovebourg doll for her girlfriend’s birthday,” airs on Comedy Central at 10pm on Wednesday.
The footage also concludes with a shot of President Trump wandering on an Air Force 1 downramp, followed by his big lover, Satan, for the season.
The episode arrived after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled on Friday that most of Trump’s global tariffs were illegal. The ruling will not come into effect until October 14th, giving the White House time to reverse the decision.
“The core parliamentary power to impose taxes such as tariffs arises only in the legislative sector by the constitution,” the court said in its 7-4 ruling. “Taxes are the central force of Parliament.”
In a response posted on his social media platform Truth Social on Friday, Trump attacked the court as “very partisan” and said “this decision would literally destroy America.”
The tiny grinning lovebub gorgeous dolls exploded in popularity over the summer, with limited supply, celebrity support and collectible nature raising bids online. Labubu Dolls is made by Toymaker Pop Mart in China.
