Does Tom Holland often swap Spider-Man costumes for new ones during filming?
The 29-year-old Netherlands spoke to Esquire in an interview published on Tuesday, September 9th about his new role as Prada Beauty Global Ambassador and the face of Prada’s new fragrance paradigm.
“Yeah, that’s definitely true. I’ll probably get a new suit every two weeks,” Holland began filming his upcoming fourth entry with superhero franchise Spider-Man: Brand New Day in August.
Sony Pictures and the Netherlands first announced at Cinemacon 2025 in April, a “new day” several months after the actor first confirmed that his fourth Spider-Man movie would be filmed in 2025. He has been showing footage from his first day filming the expected sequel in Scotland.

The Netherlands portrays Spider-Man/Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, dating back to Captain America: Civil War in 2016. The actor has suggested in recent years that he has become more deeply involved in the upcoming Spider-Man film. He recently told Ladbible that he “actively sifts through the internet and “trying to best understand what fans want” from the Spider-Man films where new films have been developed.
“For me, I want to do justice to Peter Parker’s character. I want to bring the fans something that really deserves their time, and I’m very grateful for the investment in our franchise,” the actor told Esquire. “I don’t make any sense financially. That means three times to go to the cinema. That’s a big question.”

“I did a lot of sleazy research online. I’m looking for what people were saying on the tentative point of Spider-Man. “I really put together the vibes of what people were looking for, went to Marvel and said, ‘This is what we think we should do.’ And I think that’s exactly what we’re doing.
Zendaya, 29, is expected to reprise her role as Spider-Man’s Michelle “MJ” Jones. The Bear Liza Colonzayas and the Sadicines of Stranger Things will also be appearing on brand new days alongside MCU favourites Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mand and John Bernthal, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film is scheduled to appear in theaters on July 31, 2026.
