They’re a package deal!
Former NFL stars Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski will join the same team when they join the field for a starry football game next year.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion worked with Michael Rubin fans, Fox Sports and OBB Media to create the Fanatics Flag Football Classic.
Scheduled on March 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – as part of the annual “Ryadh Season” fest – participating players include Grid Iron Greats Saquon Berkeley, Cede Deelam, Christian McCaffrey, Sauce Gardner, Miles Garrett, Brockbowers, Max Crosby, Tyrick Hill and their favourite Guy Anz Jay Anz Zel
And although the team is not decided, Brady certainly told us one thing: he’ll be paired with his teammate Gronk, who was in his 11 pro season.
“I’m never going to oppose him,” the five-time Super Bowl MVP winner said of the New England Patriots and his previous favorite tight end with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brady added that some NFL GMs are already approaching him about choosing three teams for a flag football game.
Brady also said Monday that he has taken competition seriously since “I’m still very competitive in what I do.”
Brady is now Fox’s No. 1 NFL analyst and teased the flag football announcement during Sunday’s call to the Eagle Chief Game. “Obviously, I want to check out that game, The Raiders-Chargers (Monday) night,” he said. “But I also had some great announcements I’m going to make. I’m excited to present to the world what I’ve been working on for so long.”
He retired from the NFL in 2023, and Gronk cut his cleats in 2022.
The Fanatics Flag Football Classic – The latest collaboration between Fanatics Mogul Rubin, 53, and 48-year-old Brady will air on Fox Sports and Tubi.
The event includes three teams of eight players from the round robin tournament, with the top two teams moving into the championship round.
The game follows Olympic style flag football rules on a 50-yard field with a 5-on-5 format and two 20-minute halves.
