Viewers have been spending a little more time enjoying the “scenery” this season. According to ABC News, the Season 29 premiere of the Daytime Chat Show on September 8th averaged 2,602 million viewers.
The 2025 premiere improved to 7% (up from 2.421 billion) last year’s launch (September 3, 2024).
Overall, the average for “The View” Premier Week was 2.324 viewers, with a rating of 1.51 for households. Fellow daytime network talkers, including NBC’s “Today 3 Hours” (1.963 million), “Today is Hoda & Jenna” (1384 million), and “NBC News Daily” (1.245 million), were headed.
This was the most watched premier week of “The View” in four years since the week of September 6th, 2021. Meanwhile, in the demonstration, “The View” averaged 195,000 women, with 18-49 women and 25-54 women and 151,000 women. (These ratings are based on Nielsen Live + Same Day, Big Data and Panel Data.)
Compared to last year’s Premier week, “The View” rose 2% in total viewers (2278 million in 2024), 12% in women 25-54 (from 174,000) and 12% in women 18-49 (from 135,000).
Regarding the week of September 15th, 2025, “The View” averaged 2.31 million viewers, surpassing “Today 3 Hours” (1.823 million viewers), “Today’s 1.303 million viewers with Hoda & Jenna), and “NBC News Daily” (1.237 million).
With Women 25-54, “The View” averaged 196,000 viewers (1% increase since Premier Week, 1% increase from last year) and 137,000 women 18-49 women.
In the first two weeks of the new season, ABC reports that “view” is up 2%, 25-54 (199,000 vs. 195,000).
As for social reach, “The View” is expanding to include ABC News Live’s “The Behind the Table” Daily Podcast series (now the third season) and “The Weekend View.” ABC News reports that “views” have received over 1 billion video views across social handles (including Facebook, YouTube, Tiktok and X) over the past 12 months.
