The Argentine twin Latin film will be taking part in Natalia Sminov’s upcoming feature, “Roger on the Loose” (Roger Suert).
The twin Latin film, led by producers Lorena Quebedo and Pablo di Patrizio, will join Argentina’s Año Cerro, Spain’s inseparable film and Somos Marabiloza of Meicho’s Mare Jose Cordoba, and co-produce the drama.
Meanwhile, Twin Latins Films is taking part in a co-production forum between Iberseries and Platino Industry with sports family’s driving medic Tiempo Fuera.
“Roger on the Loose” marks a new milestone in Smirnoff’s career, best known for his “Puzzle” (Berlin) and “Rock Chalmer” (Sundance).
The drama follows Roger, a 33-year-old nervous man who lives with his sister Margarita in a family guesthouse surrounded by a quiet mountain town. Deeply fascinated by fungi and their ecological mysteries, Roger lives a carefully structured life. This begins with the arrival of curious tourists, particularly Lucy, who is attracted to the area in search of hallucinogenic mushrooms. As their connections deepened, long buried desires emerged, and Roger began to confront his need for independence and the limits of his dependence on his sister, eventually setting him on the path to self-discovery.
Smirnoff co-pen with María Meira. That prominent credits include “The Soltive” and “Una epsescie de Familia.”

Cordoba offers a 40% cash rebate program. This provides a beacon of hope for many local plagued filmmakers who are no longer able to resort to support the Incas, the National Film Institute under President Mairi’s control.
Credits for the twin Latin film include “El Casero” (Best Director, Mar del Plata) and “Almamura” (Berlin Generation).
Año Cerro produced “Prince” of Sebastian Munoz, the winner of queer lion, Venice. Meanwhile, the slates from Barcelona-based Fasten Films include “Mediterráneo” and the winner of the Cannes Golden Camera, “Yellow Coco Shell.”
Maria Jose Cordova of Somos Maravillosa is best known for supporting popular titles such as “The House of Flowers,” “Holy Family,” and “Someone Must Die.”
The production team was completed by executive producer Rossana Baumeister (Daughter of Rage).
