Taylor Swift may have skipped Sunday’s Grammy Awards, but that didn’t stop her from celebrating the biggest night in music history in style.
The chart-topper “Life of a Showgirl” made a low-key appearance at the afterparty, as seen in a viral video shared on X by a fan account, and for a night out, she reached for a familiar design.
Little Lies co-founder Jade Robertson tells Page Six Style Swift wore the brand’s black crushed velvet Sweet Jane dress to the bash. The superstar owns the same green outfit and memorably styled it with snake-embellished thigh-high boots for a January 2024 outing in New York.

“My heart is in the ’70s, and the Little Lies style is very inspired by that decade. The Sweet Jane dress, originally released in both black and olive in our Fall 2023 Sound City collection, was inspired by the era of iconic ’70s artists who made history in the recording studio,” says Robertson.
“The dress is made from stretch crushed velvet and is very textured so it’s aesthetically pleasing, but also very comfortable. It’s designed to have a feminine silhouette but be very wearable, which fits perfectly with Taylor’s aesthetic.”
In addition to owning the Sweet Jane dress in two different shades, Swift also appears in the label’s Rooms on Fire slip, a midi-length style with lace trim and a floral burnout design.

“The fact that Taylor Swift is not only a customer, but also a repeat wearer of our brand, makes me a fangirl,” Robertson said.
“The way Taylor champions small, independent brands that reflect her values and amplify them to a global audience is a great example of using celebrity influence for good.”
Swift may have missed out on this year’s Grammys step-and-repeat, but her appearance at the music awards show is sure to make headlines.
Last year, she wowed everyone in a sparkling red Vivienne Westwood minidress, complete with bright red lipstick and over 60 carats of Lorraine Schwartz rubies. This includes a bespoke leg chain adorned with a ‘T’ charm designed in collaboration with the jeweler. (Fans quickly interpreted the song as a playful wink to Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce.)
And in 2024, Swift won Album of the Year for “Midnights,” wearing a white Schiaparelli Haute Couture corset dress with black opera gloves, layered with Lorraine Schwartz necklaces, and a watch choker inside – when else? – Midnight.
Swift was not nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards because her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, was released after the 2026 ceremony’s eligibility period (August 31, 2024 to August 30, 2025). It will be considered for the 2027 award.
The “Ophelia Destiny” songstress currently has 14 Grammy Awards under her belt. She is also the first woman to be nominated for Album of the Year seven times and the first artist to win the award four times.
