There was more to Chapel Lawn’s 2026 Grammy Awards red carpet look than meets the eye.
The singer’s makeup artist, Sasha Glasser, spoke to Allure Magazine about the revealing dress that caused a stir at the music awards show.
Rohan’s Mugler look was essentially draped burgundy chiffon, attached to the body with metal earrings.
And while the revealing gown made it look as if she wasn’t wearing anything at all, Glasser revealed that she was actually wearing flesh-colored prosthetics on each breast.
“The idea was to keep her from being too naked,” the makeup artist explained.
For this job, she turned to Out of Kit, a brand of prosthetic paste painted to Lorne’s exact skin tone.
But because of the paper-thin weight of the paste, Glasser discovered through trial and error that he needed to use power mesh underneath to secure the earrings so they wouldn’t fall off.
“Having a good prosthetic limb is helpful, but it’s also a testament to the skills we’ve perfected over time,” Glasser told Allure.
She also revealed that she spent the night before the Grammys printing out transcriptions because she decided at the last minute to get temporary tattoos across Roan’s chest and back.
“There are many different ways to design tattoos for makeup, and some companies offer some really great options, but because I decided on the design the night before, I had to print it out at Staples 30 minutes before closing,” she added.
result? This perfect illusion not only got people talking, with Roan replying, “I’m giggling because I don’t think this is an outrageous costume,” but it also showed off the highly skilled team the singer works with.
