Kathy Hilton has insisted she has no involvement in any of the drama scheduled for season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Still, she cautions, “It’s pretty brutal.”
“There’s no drama like Kathy Hilton,” she continued. “I’m not very dramatic. All of that drama makes me really sad. They’re all just very comfortable saying what they want to say, and that’s what makes it cruel.”
I met the Hilton matriarch Tuesday night at her home in Bel Air. There she and her daughter Nikki were hosting an annual slumber party. This soiree, hosted by QVC, is a gift suite of sorts. Guests sipped Moët & Chandon Champagne and enjoyed “Caviar Bumps” courtesy of Caviar Co., placed on the backs of their hands by model-worthy waitstaff, while personalized Halken bags were packed with a variety of complimentary health and beauty products, Oh My Mahjong sets, and Slatkin Co. candles.
The event served as not only a holiday toy drive, but also a benefit for the Los Angeles Mission, Yogi’s House, and Camp Crocker Rescue.
Guests were encouraged, and most required, to wear festive pajamas from Hilton’s Printed Fresh collection.
Earlier Tuesday, the first trailer for the new RHOBH season was released, featuring returning housewife Denise Richards and new cast members stylist Rachel Zoe and businesswoman Amanda France.
Housewife Erica Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Bozoma St. John and Sutton Strzok also return. Hilton and Jennifer Tilly welcome a new “friend” to the show, Natalie Swanston Fuller.
“I got some calls today from some girls (after seeing the trailer). Let’s do it,” Hilton said. “Some of them said, ‘I can’t believe so-and-so did this.'”
Hilton said Zoe, who is also returning to Bravo after appearing on the cable network’s reality show, “came in and fit right in. … I don’t think she caused any drama.”
Nicky Hilton teased that she would appear in the season finale, smiling: “It was a very dramatic event, but I wasn’t there.”
Kathy added: “It was brutal!”
In attendance at the party were Frances and Zoe, Jennie Garth, Dylan Mulvaney, screenwriters Sam Lansky, Kristin Chiu, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Faye Resnick, Heather Dubrow, Joely Fisher, Nancy Davis, Sutton Stracke, Tommy Hilfiger, Dee Okrepo, and producers Hilary Scholl and Maria Bakalova.
