“The Pit” will be made into a movie.
HBO Max and Warner Bros. Television have partnered with Alamo Drafthouse to set up a series of advance screenings of “The Pit” Season 2 finale. Screenings will be held at 10 Alamo Drafthouse locations across the U.S. on April 13, days before the episode airs on HBO Max on April 16.
The screening is being promoted as a medical appreciation event, and current and former healthcare workers are encouraged to attend, but tickets are available to everyone. Admission is free, but you can reserve your seat by purchasing a $10 food and beverage coupon on the Alamo Drafthouse website.
Participating Alamo Drafthouse theaters include those in Brooklyn, New York City; Boston Seaport location. Raleigh, North Carolina. Naples, Florida; Cedars location in Dallas; Mueller’s location in Austin. Westminster store in Denver. Mountain View location in San Francisco and Woodbury location in Twin Cities, Minnesota. and a downtown Los Angeles location.
“The Pit” follows a group of doctors, nurses and other medical professionals at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center over one shift. Season 1 was set on the day of the mass shooting at the music festival. Season 2 is set during the Fourth of July weekend. The cast includes Noah Wyle, Patrick Ball, Katherine Ranasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Jeran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Sepideh Moafi.
