The Finnish production company has released any photographs of mutant koalas, combining any group known for Elisa Beard’s crime series, The Evil Border.
The film and television production company and screenwriter studio, “Global Ambition and Northern Soul,” “these two Finnish scripts India work side by side in the country’s far north,” focuses on coordinating the original production, co-production, production services and post-production.
Headquartered in Owl, they “further the drive of a tech-savvy entrepreneur with Arctic grit,” and “whatever inspires them from the extreme surroundings, harsh winters, midnight sun, and untouched wilderness,” which all shapes their stories and “infuse tension, resilience, and unexpected humor.”
“Mergers are the culmination of a long process. We are in a stronger position to answer new challenges in Finland’s funding situation, but the process began with a will to find a good partner.
The Group and Mutant Koala photos remain as family sub-labels for any photograph and serve as service and production partners.
“We focus on focusing on first-stage stories looking for great writing, time and resources to bring the best fiction to the world.”
The company’s upcoming slates include thrillers, mystery, drama, comedy and high-end documentaries. Among the new projects are Italian Italian European films in Finland, YLE in Iceland, Streamer Simin in Iceland, Italian viola films for Italian RAI, and Iceland’s European co-produced “Torna a Salient.”
At the show, Street Smart’s Naples Hustler inherits the remote location of Finland’s Lapland. He considers it a fast payday until he is forced to stay, clashes with the Sami community and falls to a fierce reindeer pastor.
The action thriller “Transporter” is set for more than a day in northern Finland when the donor’s heart is hijacked during transport. Director Jussi Hiltunen (Bordertown, Arctic Circle) will be featured at the industry event Finnish Film Incident held in Helsinki.
“Our job here is grit and ambitions of equal parts. Crossing the swamp on Tuesday and crossing the red carpet on Friday is part of the same week,” CEO Antti Kaarlela said.
Creative producer Jukka Vidgren added: “Creating the stories people want to see is something we’ve done separately for so long. Finland, Scandinavia, the world, and now collectively. We believe that the best stories are worth sharing everywhere.”
Antti Kiarakari (creative producer), Pia Ervasti (CFO/Line Producer), Aleksi Puranen (Developer Head) and Petteri Staven (VFX Supervisor) will round out the team.
“We know the North. We know our craft. We believe in the extremes we live together every day. Bright, dark, isolation, humor – is the perfect foundation for stories that resonate everywhere,” Kaarella said.
