When their relationship was later revealed, people believed he was referring to salmon.

Before confirming their relationship on social media, the couple were photographed together in March 2024 at the AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party at Elton John.
June 2024
In June 2024, Boone appeared on Instagram in Salmon’s Carousel, showing up in a short clip of him walking with his hands on. He couldn’t see his face, but Boone commented on the post, “First photo… Amazing. Perfect.”
July 2024
Salmon attended the premiere of the Twisters film, featuring Boone’s song, “Death, Wishes, Love.” They were both in denim.
August 2024

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Boone said that Thurmon loves “the whole character.” He called his girlfriend “the sweetest and kindest.”

Salmon shared a video about her tiktok wearing her own make-up for the Grammy Awards.
She wasn’t appearing in the photos with Boone at the time, but the meaning is that she was present as his guest.
May 2025
The couple was spotted for a Saturday night live afterparty at Green Tavern in New York City on May 3rd.
A few days later, Salmon shared a carousel of photos from the appearance of Boone in the show.
They participated in the 2025 BMI POP Awards at Beverly Wilshire on May 13th.
July 2025
Boone shared a carousel of her photo on the trip. In the comment, Salmon wrote, “Okay, you have a really nice look.”
She also appeared in the carousel in Boone’s photo. There, he sits in a pool overlooking Greece. She shared some photos of the same trip on her timeline wearing the same blue and white swimsuit in front of the same skyline.

On September 11, multiple sources told TMZ that Boone and Salmon were no longer dating. They did not reveal the reason for the division.
