Season 2 of The Hunting Party will feature guest appearances from Niecy Nash-Betts, Eric McCormack, and their son Finnigan McCormack.
The NBC drama, according to the official logline, “follows a small team of agents led by former FBI profiler Rebecca ‘Bex’ Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh) as they are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killer the world has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from the Pit, a top-secret government prison that is not supposed to exist.”
In the season premiere, Eric McCormack will play Ron Sims, a murderer known as “The Boogeyman,” who is described as “targeting women looking for love, and time is of the essence to stop him before he leaves them with more than heartbreak.” Finnigan McCormack makes his acting debut as a younger version of Sims in flashbacks.
Nash-Betts will appear in the second episode of season two as Erica Burke. Erica Burke had a past relationship with rural New Mexico serial killer Adrian Gallo, who “preserved his victims in acrylic resin the same way humans preserve insects.” Bex must work with Erica to find Garo before it’s too late.
McCormack is best known for playing Will on NBC’s “Will & Grace,” for which he won an Emmy Award for Best Comedy Lead Actor in 2001. His other television credits include MGM+’s “Nine Corpses in a Mexican Morgue,” Hulu’s “The Other Black Girl,” Netflix’s “Travellers,” and TNT’s “Trust Me” and “Perception.” McCormack is repped by Gersh, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Sloan Offer Weber and Dern.
Nash-Betts won a 2024 Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Glenda Cleveland in Netflix’s “Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” and most recently played Emerald Green in Hulu’s “All’s Fair.” Her previous television credits include FX’s “Grotesquerie,” TNT’s “Claws,” ABC’s “The Rookie: Feds,” HBO’s “Getting On,” Netflix’s “When They See Us,” Fox’s “Scream Queens,” Showtime’s “Master of Sex,” TV Land’s “The Soul Man” and Comedy Central’s “Reno 911.” Nash Betts is repped by WME and Artist First
