“The Hermit” starring Lou Ferrigno, won by Uncork’d Entertainment

Film distributor Uncork’d Entertainment has won North American rights to the horror film “The Hermit,” starring Rufelinho in the first roll to play creatures since the CBS TV series “The Incredible Hulk.”

In horror films with an undercurrent of eccentric irony, Feligno creates and sells jerky things made from the human body.

Uncork’d is set to release “Hermit” theatrical release in the first quarter of 2026.

In addition to Ferigno, Hermit also stars Marina Weissman (The Series of Unfortunate Events) who is immediately seen on Disney’s Coven Academy. The film is directed by Salvatore Sclafani, an Italian director based in the US, and is produced by Gerry Pass of Chrome Entertainment alongside Sclafani’s first children’s products.

“The Hermit” is the first English feature directed and produced by Sclafani, an Italian Palermo who lives in Los Angeles, who produced the 2019 pandemic stirrer “Tyger Tiger,” starring Dylan Sprouse.

Two self-absorbed teens dragged into the woods on vacation, played by Weissman and Anthony Tarpel (“Bloody Bridget”), treading trails, stumbling across farms, looking at the heads of animals hanging from the wall, “fighting for a life with an unstoppable cannibal pig farmer.”

Keith Leopard, president of Uncorkd Entertainment, has signed a deal with Gato Scatena of S&R Films on behalf of Chrome Entertainment at the Toronto Film Festival and Market.

“Salvatore makes a fierce, crowd-pleasing ride, but Lou Ferigno is the power of full creature mode,” Uncork’d’s Keith Leopard said in a statement, adding, “We are excited to have won the ‘hermit’ and cannot wait to share it with North American horror fans.”
