Apple TV+ has updated its sci-fi Epic “Foundation” for season 4.
News of the update comes one day before the third season finale, which will fall on Apple TV+ on September 12th. The finale logline states:
“There is no series similar to “Foundation.” I feel lucky and I am honored to move the Torch forward in Season 4,” said co-runners and executive producers Ian Goldberg and David Cobb. “We look forward to continuing our epic, emotional storytelling that defined the first three seasons of the show and working with some of the most talented and passionate creative partners in the business.”
“Foundation” is based on the story of Isaac Asmiov of the same name. The show originally debuted in 2021. The cast for season 3 includes Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Robel, Cherry Jones, Brandon P. Bell, Sinnoff Carlsen, Cody Fern, Thomas Lemarquis, Alexander Siddig, Troy Cotool, Piru Asbeck, Laura Billun, and Rauan Billun.
“These are the best ways to create a new and powerful programming experience,” said Matt Cherniss, Head of Programming at Apple TV+. “With every new season, the excitement around this pioneering sci-fi epic continues to build on the bold storytelling and collective artistry of this incredibly talented cast and creative team. We are excited to continue exploring this universe together in Season 4.”
“Foundation” is produced for Apple by Paramount Television Studios. Ian Goldberg and David Cobb are co-showrunners and executive producers for season 4 along with Bill Bost, Pace, Michael Satrazemis, Robin Asimov and David S. Goyer.
