Teresa Giudice has shed more light on the moment that changed everything in her longtime relationship with brother Joe Gorga.
In a new clip from her podcast “Undressed with Pol’ and Patrik” shared exclusively with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star reveals how her eldest daughter Gia Giudice and their appearance on “Special Forces” sparked a long-awaited peace.
Judith started by shooting down rumors that her family’s surprising BravoCon 2025 reunion was orchestrated for publicity.
“We reunited long before Bravocon,” she told hosts and celebrity designers Pol Atteu and Patrick Simpson. “I think it’s been about a month, I can tell you the exact date by looking at my phone, but it’s been about a minute.
“Some people were like, ‘Oh, we shouldn’t do that for the press.’ It wasn’t done for the press. It was done for us. And anyone who knows me knows the truth: I don’t want to do that for the press or for TV.”
According to Teresa, the thaw between her and Joe started quietly — long before they surprised fans with a warm public greeting on the BravoCon carpet, even including Melissa Gorga in the family moment that broke the internet.
The reunion was emotional for everyone, but it was especially meaningful for Gia, who has spent years working through the aftermath of the rift between her mother and uncle.
“Gia, she’s so happy,” Teresa gushed. “My brother was her godfather and they were so close that she even said, ‘I got my best friend back.'” She loved my brother. ”
However, Zia was not only happy about the reconciliation, she was also unconsciously helping to facilitate it.
Teresa explained that she and Gia spent a few days in Marrakech before filming the latest season of “Special Forces” together. Those quiet moments became unexpectedly clear.
“And how it started is, I went to ‘Special Forces’ and Gia said to me… We spent a few days ago in Marrakech and she was like, ‘Mom, let go of the past,’ with her father[ex-husband Joe Giudice]. She was referring to her father, because I hold a lot of resentment there. She was like, ‘Let go of the past.'”
The conversation dragged on. Teresa said hearing her daughter urge forgiveness made her examine her own unresolved resentments and whether she was living up to the example she wanted to set.
“She told me that… As a mother, I always want to teach my kids about life and be a good example,” she continues.
“So, as I’m thinking about it, I think, ‘I think I’m going to let go of my relationship with my brother.'” I didn’t tell her at the time, but right before the milling, that’s why I (dropped out). Because I wanted to show her…First of all, I couldn’t see her fight. Because then I would have jumped in. And I didn’t want her to see me fight. ”
The decision to withdraw from a challenge was not about weakness, but about choosing peace.
“And I wanted to show her that I was done fighting,” Teresa added. “That part, if I had seen her get hit, I wouldn’t have handled it very well.”
Despite her early exit, Teresa says the experience was transformative, and witnessing Gia’s eventual victory on this season’s “Special Forces” made it all worth it.
“I’m so glad I did it,” she says. “And I’m so happy to be able to do that with Gia.”
Their healing journey ultimately led to the family’s BravoCon reunion. That reunion is rooted not in a TV drama, but in a mother who chose to model forgiveness and a daughter who encouraged her to lead with love.
Teresa’s entire “Undressed with Pol’ and Patrik” podcast episode will be available on Wednesdays at midnight.
