Teddi Mellencamp and John Mellencamp share a special moment on stage at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Page Six can exclusively reveal that the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum will present her father with the prestigious 2026 iHeartRadio Icon Award on Thursday at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, known for hits such as “Hearts So Good,” “Jack & Diane,” “Small Town” and “Pink House,” will also be on stage to perform.
This moment will be special for Teddi as her father has been one of her biggest supporters as she continues to recover from cancer.
The TV personality, 44, revealed in October 2022 that she was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma, and later revealed that the cancer had spread to her brain and lungs. Since then, she has undergone several surgeries as part of her recovery, including an emergency surgery to remove a tumor in her brain.
Last October, Teddy shared a positive update that his cancer was “gone” but clarified that it could be a while (possibly years) before doctors officially declare him in remission.
Throughout her journey, the Two Ts In A Pod host has been very open and vulnerable with her fans about her health struggles. She recently said that the challenges she has faced have brought her closer to her father.
“He’s been with me in the hospital every day…He’s seen the good, the bad and the ugly. But I talk to him. I mean, he checks in on the phone every day,” she told Fox News Digital last week.
“This has been a tough journey, especially during the treatment. I thought the surgery would be the hardest part, but it’s the treatment that’s really weighing on me.”
Teddy went on to explain that he “found a way to be vulnerable” with John, 74, but that he didn’t think it was “necessary”.
“Cancer changes people, and I never believed that,” she explained. “And now it’s just…what’s important to me has completely changed.”
In addition to John, “Ordinary” singer Alex Warren will also receive the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Meanwhile, rapper Ludacris, who will host and perform Thursday night, will receive the Landmark Award, and pop star Miley Cyrus, fresh off her “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” press tour, will receive the Innovator Award.
Other performers scheduled to take the stage include Alex Warren, Laney Wilson, RAYE, TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, En Vogue and more.
Earlier this month, Page Six also reported that Taylor Swift was scheduled to make a special appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. This will be his first award show appearance in 2026.
Swift is the most nominated artist of the year, with nine nominations, including artist of the year, pop artist of the year, favorite touring style (Ellas Tour) and song of the year for “The Fate of Ophelia.”
The 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards will air Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT on Fox, iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide, and the iHeartRadio app.
