Look what he made her do.
Taylor Swift bombshells Blake Lively about being a ‘bitch’ Justin Baldoni confirms the singer’s song “Cancelled” is about the actress.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six Tuesday, the “Bad Blood” singer contacted Lively ahead of a New York Times article alleging the director waged a smear campaign against his “It Ends with Us” co-stars.
According to the documents, the Grammy winner, 36, wrote to Lively, 38, saying, “This woman pulled out a little violin so I think she knows something is going to happen.”
In the song “Cancelled,” from Swift’s 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, she also references the phrase “little violin.”
“Did you tell a joke that only a man could make/Are you too smug for your own good?/Or did you bring a little fiddle to the knife fight?/Baby, it all ends tonight,” she sings in the song.
“I’m glad my friends got canceled (cancelled) / I like them dressed in Gucci and scandal (yeah) / Like a whiskey sour / And a flower with poisonous thorns / (honey) Welcome to my underworld,” Swift added.
Swift’s friendship with the Gossip Girl alum fell apart last year when she became embroiled in a legal battle with Baldoni.
In January 2025, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist for defamation and extortion. (The lawsuit was dismissed in June 2025.)
The document shows the “Five Feet Apart” director sharing texts from Lively discussing Swift.
“I happen to have a few dragons. For better or for worse, they usually get better,” the actress’ text read.
“Because my dragon also protects those who fight for me. So really we all benefit from my amazing monster. (smiley face emoji) You will too, I can promise you.”
In another message from Lively, she called Swift and Reynolds, 48, her “most trusted partners.”
In May 2025, Swift was subpoenaed to appear as a witness in an ongoing legal dispute. (The subpoena was withdrawn later that month.)
A source close to the pop star told PEOPLE of Lively and Swift, “Their friendship has stopped. Taylor doesn’t want to be a part of this drama.”
Last June, representatives for the “Cruel Summer” songstress tried to distance the pop star from the legal drama.
“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this film, had no involvement in any of the casting or creative decisions, did not score the film, saw the edit or wrote notes for the film, did not see ‘It Ends With Us’ until weeks after its release, and was traveling the world in 2023 and 2024 headlining her biggest tour in history,” a rep told Page Six at the time.
Page Six exclusively reported last October that Swift is “out of touch” with Lively and hasn’t spoken to her since the winter of 2024.
