Taylor Swift’s Gucci ensemble was tailored to fit her perfectly.
According to the leaked lyrics to her upcoming 12th studio album, “Life of a Showgirl,” it may have been a major Easter egg, a relatively recent hug from Swift’s Italian luxury label, which is circulating online.
“It’s good that I like my friends being cancelled / I like cloaking at Gucci and scandals,” Swift sings on the track “Cancel!”
The Grammy Award winner was spotted wearing a Gucci while out on the red carpet and the past year or so.
From printing the iconic “G” logo on an Italian label, to printing the “G” logo on the night of a date with her fiance Travisquels, to a more sparkly, showgirl-worthy look, it’s clear that there’s SARTORIAL (and Sonwriting) Madness method.
And her fashion choices are a way to her character, regardless of the era.
Fans were surprised by the 2024 Golden Globe singer’s Slinky Green Sequin Gucci gown. She attended the newly created category of film job and box office (Barbie ultimately won) as a candidate for the film “Taylor Swift: Airs Tour,” and she traveled with the longtime Best Serena Gomez throughout the evening.
Similarly, Swift wore a dazzling Gucci goth in June when she and Gomez resigned to celebrate their purchase of a master recording at a dinner at Monkey Bar in New York.
In addition to her decorated tank top and miniskirt, Swift wore metal platform heels and carried bags handled in bamboo from the brand.
The “The Life of a Showgirl” album will officially drop on October 3rd in the middle of the night.
