Taylor Swift wants to keep her relationship with fiancé Travis Kelce private.
The pop star opened up about the NFL athlete’s romantic proposal during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s On Air radio show on Tuesday, sharing sweet photos of the moment with fans, but said she sometimes kept the details just for the two of them.
“We have to find a way to make sure we have what we have between us, and thankfully we have a lot of that,” she said. “That moment in particular will always be ours.”
Swift said the moment of his proposal “will be mine forever.”
“It’s there forever,” she said.
The “Wood” singer also explained why the two were so comfortable when it came to sharing so much about their relationship with fans.
“We’re both very public people, and both of our career paths involve entertaining people,” she said. “So we’re very relaxed about things.”
Swift admitted she was “excited” about the engagement and could talk about it for “about an hour.”
“Once I start talking, I can’t stop, you know what I mean?” she joked.
The 35-year-old chart-topper shared a lot about Kelce, 36, with fans on her new album The Life of a Showgirl, including the raunchy song “Wood.”
The lyrics include, “Forgive me, I sound cocky / He matized me (ah!) / And opened my eyes / Sequoia trees / It’s not hard to see / His love was the key / It opened my thighs.”
Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, harshly criticized the Kansas City Chiefs for the song on Wednesday’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast, but Travis held back.
“It’s a great song,” he said with a laugh.
“Every song she mentions me in is so great…I love that girl, what do you mean? Every song she mentions me in some way…” he added.
However, he later admitted that his father, Ed Kelce, was “terrified” to hear the provocative song.
