Taylor Swift recalled how Zoe Kravitz, who had a flamboyant image, destroyed her Beverly Hills home when she lost her pet Burmese python when she was a guest of the pop icon during the California wildfire outbreak.
“I remember getting a call from the head of security trying to explain this story, and the first question was, ‘What kind of snake?'” Swift said Wednesday night on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” “I didn’t notice the snake.”
Swift, who brought up Kravitz and her famous mother Lisa Bonet by name, poked fun at the situation after the “Cosby Show” alum lost Orpheus, the Burmese python that Kravitz had at home.
Orpheus manages to slip into a hole in the wall and becomes trapped in one of the mansion’s bathrooms while Bonnet is washing his face.
The pair were holding on to a slippery snake when a man with an ax chopped up part of a “vintage antique cupboard” in Swift’s home, but the snake managed to impale half its body into the wall.
“This is the chicest thing I’ve ever heard in my life,” Swift exclaimed. “This is an ad for YSL and I have no problem with it. I just think it’s incredible. I’m sorry I didn’t see it.”
Swift said she could picture Kravitz and Beneto’s “elite cheekbones” as they tried to capture the elusive snake.
Kravitz called Swift three weeks after the house was repaired and confessed to her about the incident and the destruction.
“Hey, I’m going to tell you what happened, now that the problem is resolved,” Swift recalled Kravitz telling her.
“I was like, ‘I had to get an ax because there was a snake in my house and it got loose and went into the wall,'” Swift told her friend.
Kravitz was angry that his rescue efforts were reported before he told the singer.
“I can’t even get angry,” Swift said.
The 14-time Grammy winner opened up her luxurious $25 million mansion in Beverly Hills to the mother-daughter duo after their home was destroyed in deadly wildfires in California.
Kravitz kept his “secret” from Swift for three weeks, just as long as it took to fix the broken cupboard, but the singer already knew.
“Man, I’ve been laughing about this for three weeks,” Swift said.
The 35-year-old pop star made several media appearances while promoting her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which was released on October 3rd.
On Monday, she sparkled in a crystal-encrusted minidress while appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
She addressed the raunchy lyrics about her fiancé Travis Kelce in her new song ‘Wood’ and reflected on how ‘nervous’ she was before the NFL player asked her to marry him.
Swift also denied rumors that she turned down the chance to headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show because she wasn’t allowed to own the footage.
She also clarified, “This has nothing to do with Travis. He wants me to do it! I’m just too trapped.”
He then spoke about Selena Gomez and Fallon’s wedding, denying reports that he joked about getting punched at the altar by his best friend during his speech at the reception.
“I gave a speech, but I actually tried not to mention anything about the engagement,” she said.
“We briefly teased about how we dressed in 2008, the year we met. We met when we were teenagers and 2008 was a pretty good year, so let me tell you. We talked a little bit about 2008. We talked a little bit about how happy I was for her and how beautiful it was that it was becoming a part of her life, but we didn’t talk about me.”
After the release of her 12th studio album, Swift appeared on several radio shows, including The Graham Norton Show and The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Z100 and BBC Radio 2.
In an interview with Kiss FM, Swift revealed that she included over 100 Easter eggs in her music video for ‘The Fate of Ophelia’, while saying that Z100’s Elvis Duran “definitely has some theories that bear no resemblance to reality.”
