Taylor Swift was seen watching Travis Kelce’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders today, even though he wasn’t filmed. After flying under the radar at multiple home games, Taylor Swift made her first appearance on camera during the NFL season this past weekend. The star recently opened up about how she avoids being seen when she doesn’t want to be in the spotlight.
After attending multiple Kansas City Chiefs home games without being photographed, Taylor Swift made her first on-camera appearance of the NFL season at fiancé Travis Kelce’s game against the Detroit Lions last weekend.
The singer attended this afternoon’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium, but chose to stay out of the spotlight. ELLE has learned that Swift attended a sporting event in Kansas City, Missouri, cheering on her partner despite not being photographed at the stadium.
Swift recently spoke on BBC Radio 2 about how she deliberately flies under the radar when she doesn’t want to be on camera. When presenter Scott Mills asked her what her best quality as a spy was, she said: “I think it’s getting in and out of buildings without being seen.” “Put me in a trash can, roll me around, I don’t care. To be honest, I fit in about a wallet. Sometimes I just can’t deal with it (paparazzi and attention), and then I just don’t deal with it. I just tunnel under every building I go into and airlift through the skylight.”
Starr is well aware of how some NFL fans view him, telling Time in December 2023 that he doesn’t seek attention during Chiefs games. “I’m just there to support Travis. I don’t know if I’m getting too visible and upsetting some of the dads, Brad and Chad.”
She said she was also surprised when she was photographed. “I don’t know how they know which suite I’m in. There’s a camera half a mile away and I don’t know where it is, and I don’t know when the camera is going to show you on the air. So I don’t know if I’m going to be shown 17 times or once.”
Still, Kelce values Swift’s support. Back in January, he spoke on The Stephen A. Smith Show about his thoughts on potentially retiring. “She totally encourages me to enjoy the game,” he said. “She loves coming to Arrowhead (Stadium) and coming to the games and cheering me on, so I have all the support in the world to keep pursuing these dreams.”
“The beauty of being in a really strong relationship is that you have the support to be able to focus on your craft, to focus on being the best version of yourself. You know, that’s why I go to concerts and support her and be by her side and everything that she’s doing in her life. I want to make sure that I feel comfortable and supported. I’m as focused as ever on my job and being the best player I can be on this team every week. That’s because I’m focused on my job and not having to worry about it. It’s a field.”
