It’s a “love story”.
Taylor Swift gushes about her “meaningful” relationship with Travis Kelsey in a clip from her upcoming documentary series “The End of an Era” on Tuesday.
In a rare comment about their romance, the pop star referred to her current fiancé as “the biggest surprise of[her]life.”
She gushed, “The most meaningful relationship I’ve ever had…started when a man told me he didn’t want to see me because he didn’t feel comfortable with me.”
The singer was, of course, referring to the viral “New Heights” episode from July 2023, in which Kelce, 35, told podcast listener Swift, 34, that she wasn’t allowed backstage during a show on her Elas tour.
At the time, the Kansas City Chiefs player wanted the singer to have his number on a friendship bracelet.
Two months later, the pair went public with their relationship, and Swift explained their similarities in the new trailer for End of an Era.
“We both entertain people,” she explained. “His (performance) is much more violent than mine.”
As Swift spoke, footage showed the couple hugging backstage, practicing choreography for his on-stage appearance, and other sweet moments.
“You have teammates, I have teammates,” Kelce pointed out during a phone call with Swift.
The Grammy winner, who was in the car at the time, responded, “I have Coach (Andy) Reid. I have my mom (Andrea Swift).”
The teaser ended with Taylor and Kelsey arguing about the comparison.
Last month, news broke that fans would be delving into Taylor’s record-breaking Elas tour in a six-episode Disney+ series premiering on December 12th, and a first look at the documentary featured plenty of PDA with Kelsey.
In a video shared last week, Andrea praised her future son-in-law for bringing her “a lot of happiness.”
The athlete proposed to Taylor in August, and earlier this month, Page Six reported that the two would walk down the aisle at her $17 million Rhode Island mansion.
Kelsey got down on one knee shortly after her partner appeared on “New Heights” for his podcast debut.
The duo gave a rare insight into the early days of their romance, likening Kelce’s “man tantrums” to “wild romantic gestures.”
She said that even if the “Getting Kelsey” alum isn’t “crazy,” the call for podcasts is something she’s “been writing songs about things I want to happen” since she was a teenager.
