New court documents reveal texts in which Blake Lively and Taylor Swift call Justin Baldoni a “clown” and “bitch.”
In a text message to Swift, Lively called her director and Seraph of the End Baldoni “the stupid director of my movie,” according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
Baldoni’s lawyers claim in the document that in April 2023, Baldoni asked the pop star to support a revised script for “It Ends With Us” without ever reading it, and that Swift was supportive.
According to court documents, “Swift agreed to follow Lively’s orders and texted Lively, ‘I’ll do anything for you!!'”
According to documents, during a meeting with Baldoni at Lively’s apartment, after Swift supported Lively’s revised script, Lively told Swift, “You were so heroic today. I reflected on every moment to Ryan[Reynolds]. I’ve been remembering that you’ve been saying bad things about me and my lenses, and you’re calling me my doll. But this clown is fighting it all. You’re the greatest friend in the world.” Ever. ”
Other exchanges with Swift include the singer suggesting that Baldoni’s use of her song “My Tears Ricochet With Us” on It Ends With Us was not “strategic.”
“In messages dated April 26, 2024, Lively and Swift discussed plans to use Swift’s songs in movie trailers,” court documents state. “Swift wrote, ‘If Justin were strategic, he wouldn’t be the Taylor Swift in the trailer because that would give him more power over the movie. It’s not on his side, it’s on your side.'”
“Lively responded, ‘You’re so right…he should have run away from your music…how stupid. This was his only chance to get the upper hand,'” the document continues.
In December 2024, Swift texted Lively ahead of a bombshell New York Times article that claimed Baldoni had waged a smear campaign against the Gossip Girl alum.
“I think this woman knows something is going to happen because she pulled out a little violin,” Swift texted Lively, according to the documents.
In Lively’s response, included in court documents, she denies discussing the New York Times article with Swift beforehand, and also denies asking Swift to support revisions to the script without reading the manuscript.
“And since Justin was still there, I sent Taylor the script on her way to my apartment and asked her to read it,” Lively says. “I told her she didn’t have to do that, I didn’t want her to feel pressured to do that, but I hoped she would.”
Later in the lengthy document, Baldoni’s lawyers also claim that Lively insulted Baldoni to other famous friends, including Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Lively reportedly said that she “rewrote the script” and “supervised all the actors.”
“She also had no hesitation in disparaging Baldoni among Hollywood audiences, including describing Baldoni to Ben Affleck as a ‘chaotic clown,'” the document says.
Representatives for Lively, Swift and Baldoni did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Swift first became embroiled in the Lively-Baldoni feud in January 2025, when the former host of the podcast Man Enough filed a countersuit against Lively.
Baldoni’s filing included text messages that referenced moments when she felt “pressured” by Reynolds and Swift, whom Baldoni called her protective “dragons,” to respond positively to Lively’s rewritten scenes.
“The message could not be clearer,” Baldoni’s lawyers wrote. “Baldoni wasn’t just dealing with Lively; he was also dealing with Lively’s ‘dragons,’ two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were unafraid to make things very difficult for him.”
Back in June 2025, Swift’s representatives kept the pop star away from It Ends With Us and the legal drama surrounding it.
“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this film, had no involvement in any of the casting or creative decisions, did not score the film, saw the edit or took any notes about the film, did not see ‘It Ends with Us’ until weeks after its release, and was traveling the world in 2023-2024 as the headliner on the biggest tour in history,” a representative told Page Six.
