Taylor Swift and Travis Kelse told Page 6 that they were able to tie the knot in Rhode Island.
Several publications say the pair is hurrying up, but our insiders say “we’re married next summer in Rhode Island. She’s in a hurry to have a child.”
While this prominent wedding can draw frustration from locals (see Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s Venice fiancée), Rhode Island Governor Dan Mackey has chosen his condition for their wedding.
“Rhode Island has some of the best wedding venues in the world, but I’m just saying,” Mackie said in a repost of the couple’s wedding announcement on social media last week.
The Swift residence in the town of Westerly’s Watch Hill area is currently undergoing a $1.7 million renovation in accordance with building permits obtained by the Providence Journal.
The update includes a new wing with a 16 x 24-foot bedroom and other bathrooms, as well as a kitchen update.
Swift bought the house in 2013 for $17.5 million. It already includes 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and 5.23 acres with gardens and swimming pools.
Mance became famous for his Swift star-studded July party. And last August, Kelse and his Kansas City chief steammate Patrick Mahomes were found in one of her pool bashes.
Swift immortalized from her 2020 album Folklore with her hit “The Last Great American Dynasty.”
The lyrics tell the story of Rebekah Harkness, the former owner of the mansion, who married William Haarl Harkness, the heir to standard oils in 1947, and is a scandalous social social that was used to fill the pool with champagne.
It is unclear whether the wedding will take place at her home or at a venue in the area.
(In June, the so-called “Taylor Swift Tax” was passed by the state, charging non-$2.50 residents for every $500 value of property worth over $1 million.)
Page 6 previously reported that the couple would be holding a “private” ceremony with family and close friends.
“It’s going to be more casual than people think,” the source told us.
The Grammy-winning singer and Super Bowl champion announced their engagement on August 26th in the garden with a series of photos taken in the caption “Your English Teacher and Jim Teacher are Married.”
On the September 3rd episode of Kelse’s podcast, his co-brother Jason said, “I can’t wait to hear more plans and everything happens. Travis, you’re about to embark on the planning stage of the relationship’s wedding.”
Kelse said he had initially planned to propose water, but he abolished the idea of doing more Taylor.
“I say I know your partner, know who you are doing it for, do it for the right reasons, and everything else will be beautiful,” he said.
