Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey are about to celebrate their first Thanksgiving as an engaged couple. Kelce has a commitment: a football game. A source spoke to Us Weekly about the couple’s vacation plans last month.
Travis Kelce is planning an away game for Thanksgiving this year. The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas at 4:30 p.m. ET.
What’s less clear is whether his fiancée, Taylor Swift, will be attending the sporting event. Due to safety concerns, Singer has not attended any away games this season or last season. For most of this year, Kelce and Swift have kept a low profile, and the two are unlikely to publicly share their exact plans for Turkey Day.
Last Thanksgiving, they managed to keep the celebration private, but People magazine later reported that Swift hosted her family in Nashville.
The couple has been keeping a low profile for most of 2025, but a source told Us Weekly on October 29 that they are preparing to celebrate the holiday season together.
“It’s going to be very low-key, family-focused and (no) extensive travel involved,” the source said. The outlet reported that the two stars “plan to share time with their respective families.”
Although it is a home match, Kelce will also play a match on Christmas Day. (Swift attended the 2023 Christmas game with her family, but kept a low profile whenever she attended this year’s home games.)
The source added: “Travis is a great fit for the family and Taylor loves[his mother]Donna. They talk all the time. They try to see both sides as often as possible. They are very family-oriented and always love each other.”
Last December, People got some rare insight into how the two spent Thanksgiving in Nashville. A source said, “Taylor and Travis had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their family.” “This is the first Thanksgiving we’ve celebrated together.”
Swift will soon be back in the spotlight as she prepares to release the Disney+ documentary series The End of an Era on December 12th, as well as a concert film documenting her final performance on the Elath tour. The six-part documentary series will be released two episodes a week until December 26th.
