overview
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have not yet actively planned their wedding plans as of September 2025, but have already made some choices about their wedding. The couple announced their engagement on August 26, 2025.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelse announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, and a few days later, on August 31, told sources nearby that they were not in a hurry to their engagement era.
“Taylor and Travis have been celebrating since their engagement,” the insider said. “They are not in the planning stage of their wedding yet.”
In the next few weeks, Kelse has touched on a bit of the initial thoughts around the ceremony, and sources also talk about what they are thinking. Here is everything we know so far about their plans.
Swift and Kelce “take their time” before they get married.
On August 31, 2025, a source close to the pair told people they were in a hurry to have their wedding. “Now they just enjoy being engaged, and they’re going to take their time with it,” the insider said. “It’s a relief that doesn’t have to keep that (their engagement) a secret anymore, and they’re happy it’s public.”
They don’t have a big public wedding.
Sources told people on September 9 that the couple opposed the wedding to be made public. “[They]want to keep it more private,” the insider said. “It’s definitely a private event, not a sight. They both have a close circle of friends and they respect their privacy.”
The couple has already decided on their wedding music.
On the September 17 episode of New Heights, Kelse guest Jimmy Fallon asked about the couple’s plans so far. “Would you like to DJ or do a band? Are you thinking about all of this?” Fallon asked.
Kelse replied, “Yeah, I think we’re kind of live musicians, right?” Given that Kelce hosts the Kelce Jam Music Festival and Swift is a trade performer, this choice makes sense.
Kelse said planning a wedding with Swift will be easier than playing football.
On the September 17th episode, Kelce told guest Jimmy Fallon that planning the wedding was a “next step” for him and was Swift. He expressed optimism that this process would not be difficult for his partner.
“It’s going to be easy,” he said. “We have to find a way to win a football game first.” At that point, the Kansas City Chiefs, Kelse’s team, lost the first two games of the season.
“A wedding is easier compared to how you can catch Goddam football,” Kelse said.
