Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey were photographed at a Los Angeles restaurant to mark their first public date of 2026. Swift sparked rumors that she was in the city on Friday. The sighting comes just days after Us Weekly reported that Kelsey was in talks with Netflix for a broadcast deal.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey just had their first public date of the year in Los Angeles, although it wasn’t at the Golden Globes. Yesterday evening, the couple was photographed having dinner at Funke in Beverly Hills. Swift wore a gray blazer and white skirt, while Kelce wore a brown top and bright pants. Kelsey may be in Los Angeles on business. On January 8, a source told Us Weekly that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is in talks with Netflix to “serve as an exclusive broadcast sports correspondent.” Kelce has not announced whether he will retire from the NFL, but he spoke at New Heights last week about taking time to “think about what I’m going to do next in terms of my future in football.”
“I’ve already talked to some people in the facility and had exit meetings and things like that, and at least for now they know where I stand,” he continued. “I still have a lot of love for this game, and I don’t think I’ll ever lose that.”
Swift is also keeping her next project private. In 2022, Searchlight Pictures announced that Swift would direct her first feature film for the company, but no updates have been shared since then.
On Dec. 16, a source told Us Weekly that the singer is “constantly percolating ideas” about her music career, but has no intention of announcing a new tour for The Life of a Showgirl. “Now she is enjoying her vacation.”
Swift and Kelsea are also planning their wedding, the source added. “Taylor thinks it’s cute[with Travis helping]and they’ve been bonding.”
