Taylor Frankie Paul has filed for a temporary restraining order against ex Dakota Mortensen, accusing her of assault, harassment and stalking, Page Six reports.
In a petition filed Tuesday in a Salt Lake City, Utah, court, the “Mormon Wives” star claims Mortensen assaulted her at his home in March 2025, leaving her with “visible bruises on various parts of her body.”
According to a TRO application obtained by Page Six, the argument between the two “escalated” after Paul “requested” Mortensen to leave the house and Mortensen “refused.”
“Taylor tripped, at which time Dakota continued to kick Taylor, who was on the floor,” the documents state.
On February 14, 2026, when their relationship was said to have ended, Paul claimed that Mortensen “tattooed (her) initials on the inside of his lips and sent (her) a photo,” which allegedly traumatized her.
According to the petition, Mortensen then “attacked” Paul with text messages “as an unwanted attempt to restart the relationship,” and labeled the behavior as “possessive and controlling.”
Paul, 31, also accused Mortensen, 33, of showing up at her home in the early morning hours of February 22, 2026, and “confronting[her]over her decision to end their relationship.”
“Taylor made multiple requests for[Mortensen]to leave the house, but he refused,” the filing states, adding that Mortensen eventually left but returned later that night, “creating fear that[Paul]might abuse him.”
The argument continued into the early morning hours of the next day, when Mortensen returned to Paul’s house and “demanded that he speak with Taylor again about their relationship.”
According to the documents, Paul claimed he agreed to speak with Mortensen outside to avoid waking up his three children, including their 2-year-old son Ever, who were sleeping inside.
“They each got into the front seat of their truck and Dakota drove away despite Taylor’s protests (she did not want to leave her eyes on the children),” the petition states.
“The parties argued and Dakota assaulted Taylor by banging his head on the dashboard of Taylor’s truck and hitting him in the knee and elbow.”
The TRO’s request included multiple photos of injuries Paul allegedly sustained during the alleged assault.
“Dakota and I have had a tumultuous relationship, with several arguments and periods where we have broken up completely. In February 2026, Dakota finally became aware of the fact that our relationship was over, which caused him to act in ways that scared me and made me fear for my safety,” Paul claimed in his petition.
“For the most part, our co-parenting dynamic works well. However, recently, in an attempt to sabotage my career, Dakota filed an order of protection against me on March 19, 2026.”
Mortensen’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment, and TMZ first reported on Paul’s TRO filing.
Paul filed her claim in parallel with the former couple’s court hearing regarding Mortensen’s non-disclosure order against Paul.
Mortensen filed the petition last month, claiming Paul strangled her during an alleged domestic violence incident in February.
She allegedly said she wanted to harm herself and accused her of “chaotic”, “frightening”, “aggressive” and “emotionally unstable” behavior.
Mortensen claimed in the document that Paul threw his phone against a wall and “physically prevented (him) from leaving the house.” They then went to his truck, where she allegedly “grabbed and squeezed” his face, threw a drink at him, and hit part of his car.
“During this incident, I was unable to leave my home safely and the child was left at home under her supervision in accordance with the custody agreement during the chaos,” Mortensen said in her filing.
He also added that he moved her “away from[him]” to protect himself, which caused her to “contact the passenger seat.”
Mortensen claimed that after Paul left, he sent her a text message saying he had a nosebleed and needed treatment, but “I think this was to keep me from coming back and calling the police.”
He was then granted an order of protection and temporary custody of his son.
Filming for Season 5 of “SLOMW” has been halted due to an ongoing investigation into multiple domestic violence incidents involving ex-girlfriends.
Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was also canceled after video of the 2023 incident was released showing Paul throwing a metal chair at Mortensen.
At the time, she was arrested and pleaded guilty to aggravated assault under a deal that would reduce the charge to a misdemeanor if she complied with the terms of three years’ probation.
Meanwhile, Mortensen has been removed from the upcoming third season of Vanderpump Villa amidst allegations.
