Sydney Sweeney didn’t start playing. In fact, she is absolutely killing the TIFF 2025 red carpet this week.
At today’s Toronto International Film Festival, the 27-year-old surprised spectators and online submarines. The beautifully covered gown was collected at her waist with a red ribbon and styled by Molly Dixon.
Finishing his appearance, the “everyone you” star gave him a complete Hollywood glamour with long blonde hair in VA-VA-voom waves, dressed in lightly lined naked lips and subtle smokey eyes.
On the scene in Toronto for the premiere of the sports biopic “Christie,” the actress and producer have ordered the festival’s attention for one or more reasons.
Yesterday, Sweeney declined to comment on the controversial American Eagle campaign, clarifying her priorities. “I’m there to support my film and the people involved in making it. I’m not there to talk about jeans,” Sweeney told Vanity Fair. “The movie is about Christie, that’s what I’m there to talk about.”
Also, AE’s chief marketing director is very eager to see Sweeney’s continued collaboration with newly engaged football star Travis Kelce, with several critics focusing on the actress’s latest on-screen efforts.
For Christie, a biopic about one of the earliest female boxers, Christie Martin, Sweeney gained 30 pounds of muscle in just three and a half months. “I was trained for an hour in the morning, kickboxed for about two hours during the day, then trained again for an hour’s night,” she told W in a special summer issue.
The film’s early reviews are positive and praise Sweeney’s physical transformation and realistic boxing sequences. But one punch at TIFF enough to dodge the ongoing joke about these jeans?
Either way, Sweeney is still a complete knockout.
