Authorities have reportedly detained at least four people for questioning as the search for Nancy Guthrie continues.
People were rescued Friday by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s SWAT team after both a home and a car were swarmed near the Tucson property of an 84-year-old man, according to multiple reports.
Local law enforcement officials told Fox News Digital that police executed a search warrant on the home after receiving a tip. Two men and their mother were taken into custody after the raid, the Post reported.
The FBI also conducted a traffic stop on a gray Range Rover in the Culver’s Restaurant parking lot. Images obtained by Fox News show an unidentified man connected to the search warrant being executed at the home, handcuffed and with a hoodie partially covering his face.
law enforcement officials told CNN’s Chief Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analyst John Miller.
All four were eventually released and no arrests were made, according to FOX News.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Ahead of the potential collapse of those cases, authorities detained a man named Carlos in connection with the investigation on Feb. 10 in Rio Rico, Arizona, near the Mexican border, during a traffic stop south of Tucson, but he was released the next day.
He told local media that he was “detained for kidnapping” while on DoorDash.
“I asked, ‘Who’s kidnapping?’ And they told me about this woman…I don’t know her name,” he said of Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother.
Carlos said he worked for a delivery service in Tucson, but insisted he had never kidnapped anyone and was released after questioning.
Authorities also conducted a search of his home with court approval.
This latest news comes after the Pima County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they had recovered DNA from someone inside the home who was not “close” to Nancy.
“DNA of individuals other than Nancy Guthrie and her close contacts was collected from the property. Investigators are working to determine who it belonged to,” they announced on February 13, without specifying where in the home the DNA was collected.
Earlier this week, DNA samples were also taken from hired workers around the Guthrie residence.
Police confirmed this week that in addition to DNA, they had recovered “some evidence” including a black glove that was found two miles away from the property.
On February 12, FBI Phoenix provided a physical description of an “armed person” seen on Nancy’s home surveillance camera wearing a mask in the early morning hours of February 1.

They also announced that the reward would be doubled to $100,000 for “information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of those involved in her disappearance.”
Nancy was reported missing on February 1st after she did not attend church after an evening out with her family.
News outlets, including TMZ, received several ransom notes demanding Bitcoin transactions by a certain deadline.
On Tuesday, a small deposit was made to a Bitcoin wallet related to Nancy’s case.
A cryptocurrency expert told Page Six that the deposit shows the alleged perpetrators have lost “control” of the situation because “once a transaction is made, it will be monitored.”
Savannah and her siblings Annie and Camron Guthrie continue to express their hope for their mother’s return through various social media posts.
“Our wonderful mom. 💛,” Savannah captioned a throwback video of her mother on Thursday. “We will never give up on her. Thank you for your prayers and wishes.”
