Further down the chart, Disney’s “Hoppers” came in at No. 5 with $723,000 for a total of $16.6 million. Studiocanal’s “Fuze” was the highest-charting new mid-chart entry at No. 6 with $402,000.

Moviegoers Entertainment’s “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” follows in seventh place with $374,000 for an overall total of $5.3 million, while Berkshire Dreamhouse’s “Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Brothers” debuts at number eight with $332,000.

Universal’s “Reminder of Him” remained in ninth place with $271,000, bringing its total to $5.4 million. Rounding out the top 10 was Disney’s “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come,” which added $217,000 for a total of $2.5 million.

Looking ahead, the mid-April window will be driven by a mix of star-driven releases and event films, with Universal’s You, Me & Tuscany emerging as a major wide commercial offering. Directed by Kat Coiro and starring Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page, this romantic comedy has opened in more than 300 locations.

Also opening is Vertigo Releasing’s horror “Undertone,” distributed to 300 sites, and Jim Jarmusch’s ensemble feature “Father Mother Sister Brother,” starring Cate Blanchett, Adam Driver and Tom Waits and distributed by Mubi, adds prestige to the lineup. Additional new releases include Curzon’s Francois Ozon adaptation of Camus, The Stranger, and Studio Canal’s music-based James McAvoy directorial debut, California Schemin’.

Park Circus celebrates the 40th anniversary of Stand by Me with a 4K restoration of 100 locations, and CinemaLive presents the stage production Musik (Theatre). The Trafalgar-style event program also extends to music over the weekend with “BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’ Goyang: Live Viewing”, followed by MusicScreen’s classical presentation “Cosi Fan Tutte – Mozart” at the beginning of the week.

Indian titles continue to have a steady presence, with Bakrania Media’s ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and Dreamz Entertainment’s ‘Dacoit: A Love Story’ entering the market.
