The story of “Summer has become beautiful” is not over yet. Amazon Prime Video has officially greenlighted the feature film that concludes the storyline of the hit YA series.
The exact plot details are wrapped, except for the fact that they continue the story of the series. The film is written by Jenny Han. Jenny Han wrote the book that underpins the show and developed it for television with Sarah Kussaka. The announcement came at the series’ finale red carpet celebrations held in Paris, France.
“There was another big milestone left on Berry’s journey, and I thought only the film could give it a proper deadline. I am grateful that I continued to support my vision for this story and that I was able to share this final chapter with the fans,” Han said.

According to Amazon, the debut of Season 3 attracted 25 million viewers worldwide within seven days of its release. According to the official description, the show “a multi-generational drama hanging on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between a mother and child, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and that perfect summer magic.”

Laura Tun leads the cast alongside fellow castmanbers including Jackie Chong, Christopher Blinney, Gavin Casaregno, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman and Rain Spencer.
Han is a co-showrunner alongside Sarah Kussaka. Both are executive producers of WiIP along with Karen Rosenfelt, Paul Lee, Hope Hartman and Mads Hansen. This series is a collaboration between Amazon Studios and WIIP.
