There’s a new protagonist in Noah Schnapp’s life…or is there?
The “Stranger Things” alum seemingly debuted her new boyfriend with a sweet Instagram post celebrating their one-month relationship.
On Wednesday, Schnapp uploaded a photo to her Stories with her arm around her partner as they watched the sunset.
Although it was unclear who the other man was, the two cuddled together in love.
“Our 1st month ❤️,” the “Tutor” star, 21, captioned the sweet photo.
But a few hours later, he shared another story that simply read, “April Fool’s Day 😘.”
Schnapp’s joke comes three years after he revealed he was gay via TikTok.
“After 18 years of cowering in the closet, when I finally told my friends and family that I was gay, all they said was ‘I know,'” he wrote above the selfie-style clip.
The eight-second video showed the University of Pennsylvania senior lying in bed as the woman says, “You know it was never like that. It was never that serious. Frankly, it was never that serious.”
The actor, who played Will Byers on Stranger Things for five seasons, captioned the post: “I think I look more like Will than I thought.”
Many fans praised his “courage” when he came out, while others asserted that “they knew it too.”
Similar to his real life, Will’s sexuality is hinted at throughout the early seasons.
However, in seasons 4 and 5, in his journey towards self-acceptance, he comes out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and realizes that he loves one of his best friends.
In July 2022, Schnapp confirmed to Variety that “[Will]is gay and he loves Mike[Wheeler].”
He further explained, “In season four, I think I was the only character to play this character who loves her best friend, but doesn’t know if she’ll accept him, who feels like he’s a mistake, who feels like he doesn’t belong.”
“Will always felt that way. All his friends have girlfriends and they all fit in in their own clubs. Will never really found a place where he fit in. I think that’s why so many people come up to me and say they love Will and resonate with him so much, because he’s such a real character.”
