Stevie Knicks wishes happy birthday to her former Fleetwood McBandmate, Lindsay Buckingham.
In a post on Instagram Stories, Nicks, 77, wrote, “Best birthday ever @LindSeyBuckingham! Love’s Ya! Stevie.” This post featured a deep purple background and white lettering.
The birthday wish comes weeks after the reissue of both artists’ first album, the Buckingham Knicks on September 19th. It was originally released in 1973, a year before she and Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac.
Last month, the singer of “Edge of Seventeen” released a handwritten letter she had never seen before sent to her family while she and 76-year-old Buckingham recorded the Buckingham Knicks. In the letter, Knicks said he was “very tired of listening to more than 12 hours of music per day” but was convinced that “in the end it will pay off.”

The letter was sent to stationery by Sound City Studios in Vannuys, California, where Knicks praised Buckingham’s guitar playing skills. “By the way – Dad and Chris – the rock and roll song you liked (“Baby Baby, Don’t Treat Me That Bad”) may almost end, and Lindsay may fall into history as one of the “great guys” playing guitar.

“For my birthday, Miley gave me a gift of music, wrote a song called Secrets and let me perform my favourite musician, Fleetwood Mac!
The Knicks and Buckingham will continue to develop a turbulent relationship. After meeting in high school, the pair began dating in 1972 and split four years later. On the Big Ve Day of 1974, the former couple officially joined Fleetwood Mac, later matching the band’s Rise to Fame in the album’s rumored release.
Over the next few years, the pair continued to make and play together with bandmates Mick Fleetwood, John McBee and the late Christine McBee.
