Stassi Schroeder slammed ‘Choose Me’ Amanda Batula over her secret romance with ‘Summer House’ co-star West Wilson.
“Here’s the thing, OK. I was friends with Amanda. I hadn’t seen her in a long time, but I had a good relationship with her, as always,” Schroeder shared on her podcast, Stassi with Tay, on Wednesday.
Mr. Schroeder admitted that he “felt strange talking about” the scandal because he and Mr. Batula had “been friends for many years,” but he did not hesitate to say that Batula was “very wrong” in the situation.
“I can’t defend her. There’s no defense and it’s unfortunate,” Schroeder said. However, she clarified that the scandal “does not define[Batura]as a person.”
Still, “she seems to act this way with men everywhere. It very picks on me,” Schroeder elaborated.
Schroeder, 37, claimed that Batula was “obsessed with men” even though the men in question were in a relationship.
“She really needs male attention. She needs validation, and I think that’s what led her to West.”
The “Vanderpump Rules” alum said “it’s really awful to see everything fall on Amanda” and not Wilson, but said she believes “the bigger betrayal is friendship,” referring to Ciara Miller, Batula’s “Summer House” best friend who previously dated Wilson.
Schroeder accused Wilson of being a “loser” and said Batula’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, “will be fine.” But she said she was most worried about Miller.
She also likened the situation when her then-best friend Kristen Doute slept with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Jax Taylor to the infamous “Scandoval” and Season 2 of “Vanderpump Rules.”
Batula, 34, and Wilson, 31, confirmed their secret romance in a shocking joint statement on March 31 after weeks of speculation.
Since then, several other brave celebs have weighed in on the drama, and the majority opinion is “Team Ciara.”
On Friday, Batula apologized via Instagram Story in response to the intense backlash she has received.
“I wanted to get back up and say I’m truly sorry to everyone I’ve disappointed or hurt,” she wrote.
Batula did not specifically mention Miller by name, but apologized to “people I know personally who have contacted me individually.”
The reality star continued, “For the sake of my mental health, I’m trying to start living my life with some sense of normalcy. If you see me out or posting online, please know that this still weighs very heavily on me.”
Batula insisted, “I am not ignoring what is happening and what is unfolding,” and clarified that “I will attend the reunion.”
Wilson has not spoken since making this bombshell statement.
