Sports podcaster Bill Simmons sparked rumors of Taylor Swift’s pregnancy after claiming the pop star’s fiancé Travis Kelce is “having a child with her.”
The rumors are unsubstantiated, so it’s unclear if Simmons was referring to their future or just speculating about the couple.
Simmons was reacting to Sunday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans by Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, who are already out of playoff contention.
The analyst implored Kelce to end his NFL career two games early.
“Officially, it was ‘I feel bad for Kelsey,'” Simmons said on Sunday’s podcast. “Guy’s a Hall of Famer, he’s married to Taylor Swift, he has kids with her, he’s probably flying privately everywhere, and he’s going to have private security everywhere he goes.”
“And he’s just running around trying not to get hurt during this Titans game,” he continued. “Let’s pretend we’re hurt, pretend we’re hurt, and be done with it.”
A representative for Simmons did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
A representative for Swift also did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Fans were skeptical of Simmons’ statement, with one commenting to X: “I’m glad he knows she’s pregnant, but I don’t know if he’ll take a private flight (lol).”
In August, a source told Us Weekly that it “might not be long” for Swift and Kelsey, both 36, to start their “dream” family after their engagement.
“She’s at a great point in her career and success and will be able to take some time off,” the source said.
The newspaper also reported that the couple is “absolutely hoping” to welcome children together.
Meanwhile, Kelce on Friday addressed speculation that he might retire from the NFL after this season, saying he is focused on winning the games remaining in the season.
“Right now I’d rather focus on this team,” he said. “All future conversations with me and the team will be with them.”
“This is a special time in my life,” he continued. “We have three games left and we know when the season ends.”
