“Southern Charm” alumnus Kathryn Dennis has been convicted and has been sentenced to driving under the influence.
Page 6 confirmed that the reality television personality was taken into custody at 6:54pm local time in South Carolina at 6:54pm Friday at 6:54pm, according to inmate records from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
She was sentenced to 30 days at the Berkeley County Jail after being arrested by the Goose Creek Police Department last year.
Dennis, 34, did not immediately return a request for comment on Page 6.
On May 20, 2024, former Bravo was involved in a crash of three vehicles at an intersection in the area.
According to local news network WCBD TV-2, which first reported news of Dennis’ conviction, bystanders notified police that the TV star could be “disabled” and could smell alcohol on her.
Respondents on the scene pointed out that her eyes looked “shiny.” She was then reserved for the DUI and booked to drive in an open container.
In a video of the incident previously obtained by TMZ, Dennis discussed with police during and after an outdoor sobriety test. They later handcuffed her, and then she asked, “Why wait? Am I in trouble?”
Bravolebrity once again discussed with the officers after being placed in the back seat of the police vehicle. “You’re ruining my life – and my children (life),” she said on the footage. “Thank you nothing.”
Dennis shares his daughter, Kensington, 11, and son, Saint Julian, 9, with former Thomas Lavenel.
During her first arrest, the TV personality also told officers that she was not “silly” after he asked to do a blood alcohol test.
“This is some bulls, but t,” cried the two’s mothers. “But you’re really messed up like you take people with you. What if you have kids?
Dennis also claimed that he “didn’t give AF-K” what happened to her, and that she was “not worthy” for her to be arrested at the time.
“You treat me like an animal, but it’s just crazy,” she added, “getting out of my face,” as the police officer tried to get her into it. “Why is it so close?”
She then began to cry and asked what dog she was with during the accident.
In the video footage, Dennis told officers that she would “destroy” them after she releases.
Appearing in Southern Charm from 2014 to 2023, Dennis has been open about the fight against substance abuse after attending rehabilitation in Malibu, California.
In 2023, her SUV was involved in alleged hit and run incidents in elementary school, and in 2019 she confessed that she wasn’t completely calm at the reunion for the sixth season and was still drinking alcohol.
