Sophie Turner fangirled over Chris Martin in a resurfaced clip amid rumors they once dated.
In a 2020 video obtained by the Daily Mail, the Game of Thrones alum’s then-husband, Joe Jonas, hands his wife the phone and tells her, “There’s someone I want to say ‘Happy Birthday to.'”
When Turner got the call, his face lit up with excitement and he yelled, “Chris Martin!”
“This is Chris from Coldplay. I wanted to say this on behalf of myself and the even more handsome members of the band,” the “Weekend Hymn” singer, 48, said in the video.
“I hope you’re having the best day. I send you all my love and I hope you’re having a great time. Thank you for having a great time. Goodbye,” Martin continued.
Before ending the call, the pop star kissed the camera.
“I’m not going to cry on camera,” Turner, 29, said as she returned the phone to Jonas, 36, before giving each other a high-five.
The video resurfaced after rumors surfaced that Turner and Martin had recently gone on a “secret date.”
The Daily Mail reported that the “Dark Phoenix” actress and seven-time Grammy Award winner spent the night together with Peregrine Pearson a week after their on-again, off-again relationship ended in late September.
Turner and the British aristocrat, 30, first became romantically involved in October 2023 when they were spotted making out. However, the paper reported that after attending a high-society wedding together, the pair were spotted “arguing and bickering on the dance floor during a heated snog.”
Jonas filed for divorce from Turner in September 2023 after four years of marriage.
Divorce proceedings quickly turned sour over their two daughters, Willa, 5, and 3, and they even attended mediation to determine child custody details.
But the mother of two and “Cake by the Ocean” singer has since opened up about her co-parenting issues.
Meanwhile, over the summer, Martin broke up with his longtime girlfriend, Dakota Johnson. He and the Fifty Shades of Gray star, also 36, had been together for nearly eight years.
The ‘Viva La Vida’ crooner shares two children, Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
