Sophia Franklin brutally removed Alex Cooper from the cover of her upcoming revealing memoir.
The cover of the novel, titled “Daddy Issues,” features a nostalgic photo of the former best friends, who co-hosted the podcast “Call Her Daddy” in December 2018.
However, Cooper’s face has been cut out with scissors, leaving only his blonde hair and clothing visible.
In a new interview promoting the book, Franklin explained that he had several different ideas before deciding on the cover.
“I toyed with the idea of using a photo from my childhood on the cover to emphasize that my story is deeper than what’s known on the internet, but it didn’t feel right,” the influencer told Rolling Stone.
“We needed a cover to tell a story beyond the title ‘Daddy Issues.’ It’s offensive, and it should be. Think of a book like ‘The Social Network,’ but it’s all about sexy girls.”
Franklin also confirmed that the tell-all, which hits shelves Nov. 10, will explore the public feud between her and Cooper, including why she actually stopped co-hosting “Call Her Daddy.”
“Six years ago, I was reeling from an experience I didn’t understand,” he said, recalling when he quit his podcasting job in 2020. “I needed to grow up and be as ego-free as possible.”
Franklin, 33, and Cooper, 31, shot to fame in 2018 with their Barstool Sports-owned podcast Call Her Daddy, which focuses on candid conversations about sex and relationships.
Tensions between the two, who were also New York City roommates at the time, began to mount in 2020 when they began renegotiating their Barstool contracts.
Barstool owner Dave Portnoy publicly bashed both women for being “unprofessional, dishonest and greedy” during contract negotiations.
Things took a serious turn in May of that year when Cooper accepted Portnoy’s final offer, which included ownership of the podcast, but Franklin turned it down. Although Franklin announced his departure, Cooper continued to host “CHD” solo.
Since then, Franklin started her own podcast, “Sofia with an F,” and the two internet personalities continued to attack each other online.
For example, in 2022, Franklin said there was a “zero percent” chance that he would reunite with Cooper during an appearance on “Morning Toast.”
“So if she wants to send me a Venmo, she’ll pay me $30 million,” she quipped at the time, referring to Cooper’s $60 million deal with Spotify in 2021.
During an appearance on Barstool Radio the following year, Cooper claimed that despite their so-called friendship being front and center on the podcasts they once shared, her relationship with Franklin was actually “very bad behind the scenes.”
The Unwell founder also claimed that the partnership was “intended to end” despite the debacle in the contractual agreement.
Most recently, Cooper gave his side of the story in the Hulu documentary Call Her Alex, which was released last June, in which he claimed that the two had always had a strained relationship and were very different when it came to running their businesses.
