Cute and pink!
Sydney Sweeney continues to focus on the ‘femme’ part on the press tour for women’s boxing biopic ‘The Christie’, appearing at the film’s premiere at the BFI London Film Festival this evening in a pale pink Alexander McQueen dress.
The dress, styled by Molly Dixon, was tailored to Sweeney’s petite 5-foot-3 frame and featured a sequined lace neckline and a flowing skirt with a ruffled hem.
The design featured a corseted body constructed of boned dusty pink satin and ruched bust detailing. The lace skirt had gathers in the back, creating volume and movement as Sweeney walked the red carpet.
This is the star’s second pale pink red carpet look. She wore a custom Erdem dress in a similar shade to the premiere of The Christie at the Toronto International Film Festival in early September.
Earlier this month, she opted for a vintage Thierry Mugler tutu dress more suited to a ballet stage than a boxing ring. Paired with a cropped suit jacket with curly lapels, the ’90s outfit featured a plunging neckline and a bustier with a basque waist. She added a white miniskirt underneath a sheer structured tutu with bows at each hip.
The actress’ London look is an interesting mix of her previous red carpet ensembles. Corsets continue to be a mainstay of her red carpet wardrobe, with her enviable bustline being the focal point. However, through the short hemline and sheer skirt, her toned legs became more and more visible.
Remarkably, Sweeney gained 30 pounds of muscle in just three and a half months for this film. “I did an hour of weight training in the morning, about two hours of kickboxing during the day, and then another hour of weight training at night,” she said in W’s summer special issue.
No wonder she’s excited to show off her toned legs.
Sweeney hired another superstar for his 28th birthday party last month. She wore a star-studded silver minidress from The Blonde’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Britney Spears first wore the ethereal star-studded design during her Circus album days nearly 20 years ago.
Whoever Sweeney plays next, we’re sure she’ll play it with her signature Snatch style. And maybe pink too.
