Shia LaBeouf was spotted in Italy this week after getting permission from a judge to travel abroad following his arrest in February.
The ‘Halls’ actor was photographed getting into a black car in Rome after landing in the City of Love to support his father Jeffrey’s christening on Wednesday.
According to the photo, he looked cozy for his travel day, wearing a red, black and white patterned graphic T-shirt and gray shorts.
The actor looked very casual and cool, wearing sunglasses and maintaining a somewhat low profile.
According to court documents viewed by Page Six, LaBeouf submitted a request to leave New Orleans for vacation on February 25th.
His lawyer asked the court to allow him to travel from March 1 to 8 for a short vacation “for religious observation,” and said no court dates were scheduled during that time.
However, Judge Simone Levine, who previously oversaw the Feb. 26 court appearance, denied the motion at a Feb. 26 bail and status court hearing.
On March 4, LaBeouf’s attorney appeared in court for a second time on LaBeouf’s behalf seeking permission to travel. This time, New Orleans Judge Peter Hamilton granted the request for leave.
The “Honey Boy” star is scheduled to have another court hearing on March 19, according to court records.
The former Disney Channel star was in trouble with the law last month after he was arrested on Feb. 17 for an alleged brawl at a Mardi Gras bar.
Footage of the altercation showed LaBeouf allegedly hurling gay slurs at the two men fighting. A subsequent police report revealed that the actor yelled “fuck you” at the men between punches, possibly dislocating the nose of one of the men involved.
The actor was charged with two counts of simple assault, but was initially released on his own recognizance, and was soon out on the streets of New Orleans for more partying that night.
At a Feb. 26 court appearance, Levine revoked his original release and ordered LaBeouf to attend a rehabilitation facility, undergo a drug testing program and pay $100,000 bail under new conditions of release.
A few days after his court appearance, LaBeouf was arrested again on February 28th on a charge of simple assault.
As previously reported, the new charges appear to be related to an alleged fight at a bar on February 17th.
