Shia LaBeouf was back partying at Mardi Gras in New Orleans right after his recent arrest.
The actor was released from jail by Tuesday morning after being arrested and charged with two counts of simple assault following a scuffle.
According to footage obtained by the Daily Mail, LaBeouf ripped off his wristband, told the paparazzi, “Leave me alone, brother,” and began jogging.
He then walked three miles to the Mardi Gras parade route and changed into a new shirt and sunglasses he bought at Voodoo Mart, the paper reported. He was also photographed drinking beer and taking pictures with fans in the crowd.
The Holes star, 39, was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday. Video obtained by TMZ shows LaBeouf being punched outside a New Orleans bar before his arrest.
The video shows him shirtless and rolling around on the ground with one shoe on, as four men hold him down.
But as LaBeouf struggled to stand up, a man stepped into the frame and punched LaBeouf twice in the face, warning him not to back down.
“I’m going to beat the hell out of you, kid,” the man yelled. “Chill!”
“Don’t do that,” another person yelled in LaBeouf’s face as he sat on the street. “You better not do that!”
TMZ also obtained footage of the actor being treated by paramedics after the altercation, but it’s still unclear what led to the confrontation.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he had been in New Orleans since Thursday for Mardi Gras celebrations.
LaBeouf has been open about his struggle with addiction. Back in August 2022, in an interview with Bishop Robert Barron of Word on Fire Catholic Ministries, he said he has completely given up alcohol and has been sober for over a year and a half.
A source also exclusively told Page Six that he and wife Mia Goth secretly divorced nearly a year ago. The two married in 2016 and welcomed their daughter Isabelle in 2022.
Another source also said the “Transformers” star moved to New Orleans after the breakup to be closer to family.
