Shia LaBeouf and wife Mia Goth secretly announced their divorce nearly a year ago, a source exclusively tells Page Six. It is unclear at this time whether the two have filed for divorce.
Another source said the “Transformers” star moved to New Orleans after the breakup to be closer to his family.
News of the pair’s latest breakup emerged after LaBeouf, 39, was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of starting a brawl during a Mardi Gras celebration in Louisiana City.
Goss, 32, and LaBeouf, 39, have had an on-and-off roller coaster romance since they met in 2012.
The couple first met on the set of Nymphomaniac: Vol. II, which marked Goth’s screen debut, and later tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2016, which was also streamed on TMZ.
Two years later, the pair made their red carpet debut in London in his film Fury, but by 2015 they were infamously photographed having a heated argument in Germany.
The couple later split in 2018, but a rep told Page Six at the time, “Shia and Mia have filed for divorce. The separation is amicable and all details regarding the divorce process will remain private.”
However, in March 2020, they were spotted wearing their wedding rings again while riding bikes together in Los Angeles. At the time, neither side accepted the settlement.
After many more twists and turns, a child was born to the two in 2022.
That same year, the Disney alum told Jon Bernthal in an interview: “[Goth]saved my shitty life… She was there for me when no one else deserved to be in my life. Especially her… She gave me hope when I was really smoking.”
Representatives for Goss and LaBeouf would not comment on the status of their relationship.
News of the pair’s breakup broke shortly after the “Hole’s” actor was charged with two counts of simple battery.
He remained in custody Tuesday morning at the Orleans Parish Jail in Louisiana, where he was being held without bail and is scheduled to appear before a judge today at 3 p.m. local time.
TMZ obtained footage of the shirtless actor being treated by paramedics after the alleged altercation. What led to his altercation remains unclear.
LaBeouf’s representatives and attorneys did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on the arrest.
The actor, who has been open about his journey of sobriety for years, had been in town for Mardi Gras celebrations since Thursday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Although LaBeouf grew up in California, he reportedly once said of his Louisiana roots during an interview, “Oh, my dad is Cajun.”
Before his on-again, off-again relationship with Goth, LaBeouf was linked to Megan Fox, Carey Mulligan, and FKA Twigs.
The latter accused him of abuse during their 2018 relationship, which he denies.
