In a major partnership, Yash Raj Films will bring a treasure trove of Bollywood classics to Netflix, making the storied studio’s catalog available to streaming subscribers around the world.
The collaboration will see YRF titles released at strategic stages tied to festivals, special occasions and film milestones, allowing fans across the world to access popular Hindi films from the comfort of their homes.
The rollout will begin on November 1, coinciding with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, and will feature nine of the superstar’s most iconic YRF films, including ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, ‘Veer Zara’ and ‘Chak De India’.
Additional classic titles such as ‘Chandni’ and ‘Lamhe’ starring Sridevi, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ and ‘Silsila’ with Amitabh Bachchan and ‘Vijay’ with Anil Kapoor will be available from November 14th.
A daily release schedule will be set up during the festive season, with 34 films being released twice a day from December 12 to 28, including ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’, ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’ and ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’. Three of Salman Khan’s blockbusters – ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ – will be streamed on December 27 to mark the actor’s birthday.
The partnership has been extended until 2026 and a Valentine’s Week collection will be launched on February 7th featuring eight romantic titles including ‘Saathiya’, ‘Ishaqzaade’, ‘Bachna Ae Hazeeno’ and ‘Salaam Namaste’. Popular series are also included in the deal, with the third part of the Dhoom trilogy starring Aamir Khan in a dual role to be released from November 28, and Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani series to be released on January 22, 2026.
